Lonzino (small loin) from Norcia – 500 g


Lonzino (small loin) is one of the best known cured meats in Umbria and closely linked to the tradition of this region. It is one of the very few cured meats to be produced with totally lean meat. The cut is one of the most valuable of the pig, that is the part called loin. It is deboned, then massaged strictly by hand with aromas and salty. It is then bagged and aged naturally for ninety days. The leanness of the meat gives the loin a more rosy color than that typical of other cured meats such as ham or capocollo. Not to be confused with loin, also called capocollo, which looks similar on the outside, but is obtained with completely different and fatter cuts of meat.

Seasoned product made from the prized loin of pork, it is flavored according to an ancient local tradition, which gives the product a sweet and captivating taste.

Ingredients: pork, salt, pepper, garlic, preservatives E250, E252, antioxidant E301. It may contain traces of sesame, celery and mustard.
